Travis Barker’s much anticipated solo album “Give The Drummer Some” hits hard!!!
The highly anticipated solo album by Travis Barker has finally been released, and is promising to be one of the best albums of 2011. Aptly named “Give The Drummer Some”, this album has been in the works for a couple years now, and many have been on the edge of their seats for it to finally release, with Interscope Records even pushing the release date back from September of last year to today, March 15th. Barker’s style comes out in full force with this release, showcasing his love for genre-colliding, with most of the album being hip-hop with a rock edge to it which he delivers with his drumming, as well as a few surprises where he bends genres completely.
The first single from the album was released last month, titled “Can A Drummer Get Some?” featuring Lil Wayne, Rick Ross, Swizz Beatz, and The Game. Yes, all of them, in one song. And don’t think this is the only track with an allstar lineup on the album, here’s a list of some of the other artists on “Give The Drummer Some”:
Pharrell
Lupe Fiasco
RZA
Raekwon
Tom Morello
Snoop Dogg
Ludacris
E-40
The Cool Kids
Twista
Busta Rhymes
Lil Jon
Slash
Kid Cudi
Tech N9ne
Cypress Hill
Paul Wall
Clipse
and Steve Aoki
Even if you’re a person who doesn’t spend any money on music, make this the one album you actually buy this year, trust me.
