Z Trip @ Beta Nightclub in Downtown Denver
Last night we had the opportunity to see the “Godfather of Mash-Ups” at Beta Nightclub. The club was packed full and the speakers sounded like they were about to blow. Towards the end of the night, the room was so hot that you could see the steam billowing out the back patio doors.
To add to the craziness, SIA (SnowSports Industries America) rented out an entire section of the club for some of their “top-players” who are in town for the private SIA Snow Show where they will be demonstrating all the new retail products for 2010/2011 Winter season.
Every time Z Trip comes to Denver we expect to see him out-do himself and once again, last night he definitely lived up to his expectations. His performance was full of Hip-Hop, Club Bangers, Rock n Roll, and, surprisingly, plenty of Dub-Step. Anyways, here is a video for everyone who missed the show. Next time be sure to hit up Kyle for VIP guest list spots.
Z-Trip is considered to be one of the best live performance DJs in history, by both fans and peers. It’s a fact that many call him the “godfather of mash-ups”, as he is one of the originators of the genre. His worldwide sold out shows continue to set attendance records while drawing critical praise. “One of the great musical moments from Coachella (2002) was the frenzied set by turntable wizard Z-Trip. He had fans howling and bobbing, closing his set with a surprise appearance by Beck.” -The LA Times. The LA Times review was well deserved as Z-Trip performed to a jam packed tent of over 10,000 that day.
